Topography of the lungs and mediastinum, G1.22, Anatomy, Thorax, Thoracic Contents

Lungs:

1. The Apex of the Lungs is at the level of the 1st Rib, 
2. Inferior boarder of the lungs at 6th Rib in the Left Midclavicular Line and 8th Rib in the Lateral Aspect of the Thorax at the Midaxillary Line.
3. Inferior reflection of the Parietal Pleura is at the 8th RIB MCL and 10th Rib MAL

Cardiac Apex 

1. 5th Intercostal space Left MidClavicular Line
2. Right Atrium forms the right boarder of the heart and extends just beyond the lateral margin of the Right Sternum
3. Branches of the Great Vessels pass through the Superior Thoracic Aperture
